Privacy by default
Personal information is not stored openly on the tag, and finders only see what is appropriate.
Preparing for controlled UK beta
echotag helps families and organisations reconnect with vulnerable people when it matters most, combining simple scanning with privacy-conscious alerts and trusted connections.
No finder app required. Nothing personal stored on the tag. Built in the UK.
Why echotag exists
When someone becomes separated from the people who care for them, the information intended to help can be passive, fragmented or difficult to use. echotag is being built to make that next step simpler, helping a finder take useful action while protecting the vulnerable person’s information.
Introducing Reconnect
Reconnect is the first service from the echotag digital safety platform. It brings together accessible physical identifiers, controlled information sharing and real-time notifications.
A finder uses their own smartphone. There is no app to install and no account to create.
The finder sees only the information chosen to help, with sensitive details kept protected.
Configured contacts can be notified, with useful scan and consented location information.
The aim is simple: reduce the time between someone being found and safely reunited.
A higher quality standard
We are treating security, privacy and operational resilience as part of the product, not as promises added after it is built.
Personal information is not stored openly on the tag, and finders only see what is appropriate.
No finder app, subscription or special equipment is needed to take the first helpful step.
A scan can create awareness and alert trusted people rather than only displaying a phone number.
We are validating the full journey, from account protection to physical scans and alert delivery, before public launch.
One platform, a focused beginning
echotag is designed as a digital safety platform, with future services for check-ins and event safeguarding. Our focus today is proving Reconnect and preparing it for a small, controlled beta.
